Computer Eligibility
To receive a computer from the Computers4Kids Inc., a potential recipient must be below allowed income or be currently enrolled in a government assistance program. Income guidelines and examples of programs that is eligible:

Employment Services
Medicaid
Food Support of Financial Assistance
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Section 8 or other Federal Public Housing Assistance
Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
The National School Lunch Program’s “Free Lunch” Program
Head Start
The prior year’s state, federal or tribal tax return
Three consecutive months worth of income statements from an employer or paycheck stubs within the current calendar year.
A Social Security statement of benefits
A Veteran Administration statement of benefits
A retirement/pension statement of benefits
An Unemployment/Workmen’s Compensation statement of benefits
Federal or tribal notice letter of participation in General Assistance
A divorce decree, child support or other official document
Individuals receiving a computer are asked to provide a small donation usually $50. Many times government programs that clients are involved in will cover the donation. Another service offered to eligible individuals, even if they never received a computer from Computers4Kids Inc., has a affordable computer repair. Individuals can bring in any computer and have it repaired starting at $49.

Computers4Kids Inc., warranties equipment for 90 days (hardware) and will replace it if it’s not functional. However, other issues due to user error (virus, spyware, and other software related issues) are repaired for a small fee. Computers4Kids Inc. will provide documentation to help users learn how to protect their computers. These documents should be read and precautions taken so that repairs are avoided. After the 90 day warranty we offer a discounted repair program to ensure participants always have a working computer. As part of the program all necessary repairs will be completed for $25 for as long as the original recipient owns the PC. There is a one computer limit per address per year.
